February 20, 2012 - North American Lacrosse League (NALL)
Lehigh Valley Flying Dutchmen News Release

Bethlehem, PA. - Aaron Musselman, the Managing Partner of the North American lacrosse League's Lehigh Valley Flying Dutchmen, is pleased to announce the appointment of Hunter Francis as the franchise's first Head Coach. Most recently Francis was the Head Coach of the now defunct Hershey Haymakers, and brings a wealth of American Box Lacrosse experience to the team. "We couldn't be happier with Hunter's acceptance of our offer to lead the team. He has over 18 years experience converting American field talent to the indoor version of the sport", said Musselman.

Francis has directed the Baltimore Box Lacrosse League since 1998 and was an active player from 1995 to 2010. His Team Toyota box teams claimed two championships in the highly competitive BBLL, still the nation's most productive league in developing pro talent. "It's not often we get second chances in an effort such as the North American Lacrosse League. Along with me, Defensive Coach Marc Hoffman, consultant Frank Menshner, and our roster of 25 dedicated players, each one of us is committed to making the NALL a success. We will help make the 2012 Exhibition Season successful while laying a strong foundation for the future of the league".

After a 20 year career in the insurance industry Francis packed it away in 2001 to become the Assistant General Manager of the Baltimore Bayhawks of the MLL. Along the way he led Team Toyota for twelve seasons, earning over 700 wins and 89 world, national, league and tournament titles. "The United States is way behind in the indoor version of the game" he says. "The dedication of those involved in the NALL will go a long way towards closing the gap. The league has so much to offer I envision only the brightest of futures".

The North American Lacrosse League consists of three teams- the Kentucky Stickhorses, the Boston Rockhoppers, and Lehigh Valley. The league is playing and exhibition schedule for 2012 but looks to expand its membership in 2013 and beyond.
