Amarillo Venom News Release

Amarillo, TX 5/15/09 - The Amarillo Dusters of the af2 have announced that they are slashing ticket prices for the remainder of the 2009 season, effective immediately.

The new plan, referred to as the "Dusters' Economic Stimulus Package," is intended to help Amarillo residents enjoy a Dusters game at a reduced impact on their budget.

All red-level tickets, formerly priced at $20 per ticket, have now been reduced to $15 per ticket. Red level seats include all sideline seats from the third row and up, as well as all front-row seats in the corners and end zone. Meanwhile, all tickets in the endzone (from the third row and up) have been reduced to $12 from $14.

"With the economy still looming large in people's minds, we felt it was in the best interest of the Amarillo community to reduce prices for certain seats in the arena," said Gorillas Owner Randy Sanders. "We want people to be able to put these tough times behind them for an evening, come out, and have fun at an Amarillo Dusters game."

Ticket prices for groups of ten or more have also decreased dramatically. Red-level seats are just $13 apiece when purchased as part of a group package (reduced from $14). Meanwhile, endzone group tickets are now just $10 apiece.

For more information about the Dusters' reduction in ticket prices, or to purchase tickets for an upcoming Dusters game, please call (806) 350-PASS (7277).

The Dusters will be in action Saturday night (May 11), as they take on the Corpus Christi Sharks at the Amarillo Civic Center. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM, as coverage of the game will be carried on KPUR 107.1-FM and online via af2TV.

THE AMARILLO DUSTERS are a member of the arenafootball2 league. The team front office is now located at 901 S. Buchanan in downtown Amarillo. Season ticket packages for 2009 are available by calling (806) 350-PASS (7277), and start at just $96 a seat.
