Amarillo Venom News Release
Amarillo, TX 2/3/09 - Although the Super Bowl may be over, football is far from finished in the Texas Panhandle.
Fresh off a visit to the af2 Conference Finals, the Amarillo Dusters are just now gearing up for the 2009 af2 season. The first game for Amarillo's only professional football team will be March 27, at home against the Oklahoma City YardDawgz.
Season tickets have been going quickly since the 2008 season ended. For those that find themselves without season tickets, single-game tickets will be going on sale March 1, the team announced Tuesday. Single-game ticket prices have been lowered for the upcoming season, in order to expose more Amarillo-area residents to the excitement of Dusters football.
The announcement comes alongside the expected signing of a number of players over the next two weeks. Head coach Ben Bennett has been busy this off-season pursuing talent throughout the country, as the Dusters continue to assemble a team full of both experienced af2 players and talent from the NCAA Division-1 and Division-2 level.
For more information on the Dusters' new, lower ticket prices for 2009, please call the Dusters' ticketing office at (806) 350-PASS (7277).
