Amarillo, TX- The Amarillo Dusters set a league record for the most points scored in a single game Saturday night while defeating the Lubbock LoneStars 82-74. 4,000 enthusiastic fans at got their moneys worth as they saw the lead change 9 times in the second half alone, which was the story of the entire game.

When the dust had settled it was Amarillo that extended its home win streak to four games and maintain sole possession of second place in the Intense Football League.

Lubbock took a 68-66 lead with 5:03 to go on a 12-yard pass from Robbie Jenkins to T.J. Glover. On the ensuing conversion attempt, the Dusters blocked the kick, and Lawrence Hardman returned it to the end zone for two points that tied the game at 68-68.

The Dusters then ran seven plays on the next drive to score the go-ahead TD with less than a minute remaining. That's when Kendrick Walker hauled in an 11 yard pass from Julian Reese to give the Dusters the seven point lead.

Lubbock's Louis Fite returned the ensuing kickoff 23 yards to near midfield.

However, on the next play, Jenkins fumbled the snap, and Amarillo defensive lineman Doug Ginapp recovered.

Dusters Fullback, Dewayne Miles had another big night. With 39.2 seconds to play, and trying to run the clock down, Miles powered his way 22 yards to the Lubbock 2. He would score on the next play to give the Dusters an 82-68 advantage. Miles ended up rushing for 63 yards off of 11 carries, this in the wake of setting a new indoor football rushing record last week with 127 yards against El Paso.

The teams combined for 621 yards total offense and 44 first downs.

Duster Quarterback, Julian Reese threw for 191 yards and completed 16-of-23 passes for four touchdowns and no interceptions.

The LoneStars had only 14 yards rushing on 14 attempts but were very effective through the air. Alternating between quarterbacks Tommy Miller and Jenkins, Lubbock completed 24-of-36 passes for 329 yards and nine TDs with one interception. Former Texas Tech receiver Anton Paige caught 12 passes for 142 yards and four TDs to lead the LoneStars.
