Amarillo Venom News Release
The Amarillo Dusters announced today the hiring of Victor Hall as the team's new Assistant Head Coach. Coach Hall will also be responsible for coaching the offensive and defensive lines, along with the fullbacks and linebackers.
Hall joins the Dusters after having spent the past five seasons as an assistant coach with the Florida Firecats in af2.
"This is the biggest signing of our entire off-season," said Dusters Head Coach Chris MacKeown. "Coach Hall's background in the NFL, AFL, and af2 as a player and as a coach is very impressive, and he's got the rings to show for it. I think that he helps us have the chance to be great."
Coach Hall was an All-SEC standout Tight End and H-Back at Auburn, and helped lead the Tigers to the SEC Championship in 1989. He went on to play Tight End in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings and Indianapolis Colts from 1991-1994. After spending a year in NFL Europe with the Barcelona Dragons converting to Defensive End, he played eight seasons in the AFL with the Orlando Predators and Los Angeles Avengers, winning the Arena Bowl in 1998 with Orlando. He finished his AFL career as the league's 9th All-Time Sack Leader. He retired from playing in 2002, and began his coaching career with the Florida Firecats in 2003. He made a return to the field as a player for the Firecats in 2004, and helped lead the Firecats to the Arena Cup Championship. That feat made him the only player in the history of Arena Football to win both an Arena Bowl Championship and an Arena Cup Championship. Under Coach Hall's guidance, Florida reached the conference championship game in two of the past three seasons, and won four straight division championships.
Coach Hall resides in Cape Coral, FL with his lovely wife Charmin, son, Trevan, and four daughters: Lexis, Ajah, Sydney, and Channel.
