Dusters announce 2008 roster

AMARILLO, TEXAS The Amarillo Dusters announced the final 2008 season roster. This comes at the completion of training camp, bringing the roster to the arena football 2 league mandated 22 players.
"I am excited about the team that we have put together," said Dusters head coach, Chris MacKeown. "I think we found players with not only knowledge and talent for the game, but they also have character to match."
The following players will represent Amarillo next week against the Tulsa Talons.

Released players are offensive lineman, Eric Scott, wide receiver, Daunta Peterson, linebacker, Dennis Thorton, and defensive backs, Curtis Keyes and Amp Boone.
"Releasing players really is one of the toughest things a coach has to do," said head coach, Chris MacKeown. "I wish there was a place on the roster for each one of these talented players."
The Dusters will open their 2008 regular season on Saturday, March 29 when they travel to Tulsa to take on the defending ArenaCup Champions, the Tulsa Talons. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. Fans can follow the play-by-play action with the voice of the Dusters, Nat Hall on the Dusters Radio Network.
The Amarillo Dusters will return home the next weekend to take on the
Central Valley Coyotes at the home opener on April 5. The game theme is
"Back in Black." Fans are encouraged to help "black out" the Civic Center by
wearing black t-shirts. Season and single game tickets are on sale now. For
