
Dolphins' Sam Named Offensive Player Of Week Five

Miami Dolphins-allocated wide receiver P.K. SAM has been named NFL Europa Offensive Player of Week 5 following his efforts in leading the Rhein Fire to a key victory over the league-leading Frankfurt Galaxy last weekend.
Sam led the Fire attack by catching six passes for 122 yards with a long of 46 yards. He scored on an eight-yard reception from former NFL starting quarterback Cody Pickett.
At the halfway stage of the 2007 season, Sam has 15 receptions for 274 yards and one touchdown. His average of 18.3 yards per catch is the highest among the league's top 10 receivers.
Hamburg Sea Devils linebacker BYRON HARDMON has been named Defensive Player of the Week after his game-winning display against the Amsterdam Admirals.
Hardmon opened the scoring on a 34-yard interception return for a touchdown. He then went on to add four tackles, one sack for six yards, one quarterback hurry and two pass defenses.
Through five weeks of play, the former Florida defender has recorded 17 tackles, one sack, one interception and three pass defenses.
New England Patriots-allocated punter DANNY BAUGHER is Special Teams Player of Week 5 after his outstanding display during the Rhein Fire's defeat of the Frankfurt Galaxy.
Baugher averaged 45.2 yards on five punts with a long of 51 yards. He also dropped two kicks inside Frankfurt's 20-yard line. He currently ranks second among NFLE punters this season with an average of 42.5 yards on 23 kicks with a long of 59 yards and nine kicks inside the opponent's 20-yard line.
French linebacker and reigning NFL Europa Defensive MVP PHILIPPE GARDENT has been named National Player of Week 5 after he recorded a team-leading 10 tackles during the Cologne Centurions' 24-10 victory over the Berlin Thunder. Gardent also added one special teams stop.
The fifth-year linebacker, who spent the 2006 NFL season on the practice squad of the Washington Redskins, leads all defenders in NFL Europa with 38 tackles and he has also added one sack, two pass defenses and three special teams tackles.
