Denison Cabral Named MISL Player Of The Week

Baltimore Blast forward Denison Cabral recorded seven points to lead his team to back-to-back victories this weekend. Cabral scored three goals, his first hat trick of the season, in a span of two minutes and 29 seconds Friday to lead the Blast to a 12-8 victory over the Philadelphia KiXX and added an assist Saturday night in Baltimore's 12-11 win over Monterrey. Cabral, Baltimore's all time-leading scorer with 941 career points, ranks second on the Blast and is tied to rank fifth in the MISL with 35 points this season.

About the Major Indoor Soccer League

The MISL represents the major league of professional indoor soccer, featuring the finest indoor soccer players from around the world. The league consists of five member clubs in 2009-10: the Baltimore Blast, La RaZa de Monterrey, Philadelphia KiXX, Rockford Rampage and the Milwaukee Wave. The regular season will run for 18 weeks and will conclude on Sunday, March 21. The postseason is set to start the following weekend with the top three teams qualifying. The second- and third-place teams will square-off in a home-and-home Semifinal series with the winner advancing to battle the top seed.
