Daytona Beach Hawgs News Release
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. â Centurion Sports Management, LLC, and head coach Ervin Bryson today officially announced the name of their newly approved National Indoor Football League franchise in Daytona Beach, FL.
In a city that plays hosts to two of the world's greatest motorcycle events, what better name for a football team than one ever so attached to the sounds of two-wheeled thunder on the streets of Daytona Beach?
The Daytona Beach Hawgs will open the 2005 NIFL season in March with seven home games to be played at the Daytona Beach Ocean Center.
CSM President, Tony Pewonski, also announced that season tickets sales would begin immediately with the team implementing a voucher system.
"When a fan calls in to buy season tickets, we'll be selling them a voucher numbered in the order in which we received their call," said Pewonski. "We'll then invite all of those voucher holders down to the Ocean Center where they can pick out their seats and see for themselves where they'll be sitting."
