Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced on Monday that forward Dan Gendur has re-signed with the team for the 2011-12 season. Gendur was assigned to the Bees last season by the Nashville Predators and spent time with both the Bees and Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.
The Victoria, B.C. native scored 13 goals and registered 21 assists in just 37 games with the Bees last season. During 2010-11 Gendur played 10 games with the Admirals with one assist.
"Dan is one of the most talented forwards in this league," said Killer Bees General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "He has a very hard shot, very fast legs, and a great attitude heading towards this season."
Gendur, a 2007 NHL Entry Draft pick of the Vancouver Canucks, has previously suited up for the Johnston Chiefs, Victoria Salmon Kings and Manitoba Moose after completing his junior career with the Everett Silvertips.
"I'm looking forward to an exciting season with the Bees," said Gendur. "I've only heard good things about coach Ruskowski and I'm ready to get to work."
