Dallas' Hamilton Kicks For All-Time Field Goal Record On ABC
Published on February 27, 2008 under Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I) News Release
NEW YORK - Dallas Desperados K REMY HAMILTON can become the all-time leader in field goals converted when the Desperados travel to The Arena at Gwinnett Center to face the Georgia Force in the season's first installment of Russell Athletic ESPN Arena Football Saturday, March 1, at 1 p.m. ET on ABC.
Hamilton, who currently stands in third place with 176 career field goals, needs two conversions to pass Utah Blaze K STEVE VIDETICH (177) and MIKE BLACK (177) to become the all-time leader with 178.
The timing is very important as Videtich, who needs one field goal to set the career mark, can become the all-time leader later that night in Salt Lake City as the Utah Blaze host the Arizona Rattlers on Saturday, March 1, at 9 p.m. ET at EnergySolutions Arena.
Videtich also needs four extra point conversions to become the second player in professional football history to convert 1,000 career PATs, joining B.C. Lions K LUI PASSAGLIA (1,045) of the Canadian Football League.
