Cutters Win Game 1
The Cane Cutters win their first ever home playoff game 9-4. They were trailing early on but rallied with a big inning to win the game.

The starting pitcher for the Cane Cutters, Daniel Martinez pitched 4.1 innings, allowing 3 hits and 3 runs. He was then backed up by Michael Hanchar (Nicholls State) who went on to pitch3.2 innings, allowed 3 hits and 1 run.
The Cane Cutters had an enormous inning, scoring 7 runs, and never looked back. Leiff Clarkson (Western Kentucky) started the bottom of the fifth with a single. Evan Williams (TCU), 2-4 with a run scored, would then also single. Zak Kutsulis (Notre Dame), 2-4 with 2 runs scored and a walk, would draw a walk to load the bases. With the bases load Daniel Keating (Southern Miss) would single to score Clarkson.
The Cane Cutters would score 3 more runs off of Chance Vincent (University of Alabama) reaching base on a single and a couple of throwing errors by the Generals. Then Kyle Knauth (Nicholls State) would hit a 2 run home run to make the score 7-3.
The Cane Cutters would then tack on a run in the bottom of the sixth and another in the seventh.
