Crunch Sign Two Players, Get Ready For Mini-camp

As the Battle Creek Crunch get ready for their inaugural season in the Great Lakes Indoor Football League (GLIFL), the team has announced that they have made two signings- wide receiver Brian Dolph and kicker Chuck Selinger. Terms were not disclosed in the signings.
Brian Dolph is a 1996 graduate of Galesburg-Augusta High School, and would go on to play at Saginaw Valley State University for four years, where he would be named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year with the Cardinals in 2000. The year, Dolph broke 13 school and GLIAC records, including 20 touchdown grabs that fell just short of the NCAA's Division II record books. Dolph moved onto the Arena Football League in 2001, when he was signed late that season with the Houston Thunderbears. In 2002, he signed with the Indiana Firebirds. He is also the offensive coordinator for the Galesburg-Augusta Rams during the high school football season.
Chuck Selinger is a two-time Mid-American Conference Placekicker of the Year during his time with the Central Michigan Chippawas from 1990 to 1993. He was also an All-American Honorable Mention in his senior season. He also led the MAC in scoring in his two award-winning years in 1991 and 1993. He only missed one extra point in his four years, and went 43-for 66 in career field goals. His career long field goal came against the Michigan State Spartans, where he drilled it from 51 yards.
Other news and notes... -- The first official mini-camp is coming up on Saturday, February 18th, the Kalamazoo Indoor Center from 2pm until 5pm. 36 players will begin the true grind, as they begin their quest for the final 22-man roster.
