Crunch Announces Their 2006 Roster, Meet The Team Sunday

The Battle Creek Crunch has solidified their 2006 roster, and preparations are beginning for their season opener on April 7th, when they take on the Port Huron Pirates at Kellogg Arena. The players on the squad have valuable experience in all forms of the game of football. A number of them played semi-professional and college ball, but seven of them have indoor football experience. The roster includes the pre-season signings of wide receiver Brian Dolph, kicker Chuck Selinger and long snapper Ted Kluck, who was given exemption by the Great Lakes Indoor Football League to play and write about the experience on ESPN.com.

-- Would you like to meet the players that will be on the field this season? Join them Sunday afternoon at 2pm, as they will partake in a Bowling Celebration at Nottke's Family Fun Center on Columbia Avenue. You'll get to meet the squad, along with the Illegal Motion Dance Squad. Food, prizes and giveaways galore will occur as well. You'll also get a chance to pre-order the Illegal Motion Calendars. Tickets are $20, and are available at the door Sunday, or in advance by calling the Crunch office at (269) 965-1600.
-- Media Day is coming up on Wednesday, April 5th, two days before the season opener versus the Pirates. It will take place at Kellogg Arena, and you'll get a chance to meet the players, coaches, Illegal Motion Dancers, and the administration of the Crunch. -- Golf season is on the way, and the Battle Creek Crunch will hit the links at 10am on Saturday, April 22nd, at Binder Park Golf Club. Teams will consist of four golfers, including players, coaches or administrators with the team, competing in a Four-Man Scramble Tournament. The money raised will help fund the team.
