Countdown to Kickoff

Tampa Bay Storm News Release


TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Storm will host, Countdown to Kickoff, a pre-season fan event featuring a controlled scrimmage against "War on I-4" rival Orlando Predators. The event will take place Monday, February 27 at the Tampa Bay Time Forum. Doors open at 6:30 PM with the scrimmage starting at 7:30 PM.

Countdown to Kickoff is a free event highlighted with halftime contests where randomly selected fans will have the opportunity to win a variety of Storm prizes. The event, hosted by Storm radio play-by-play announcer Jack Harris and in-arena host Greg Wolf, will include live music by DJ Mingle Mixx, $1 hot dogs, soda and beer, in-stand contests for prizes and giveaways.

Prior to the scrimmage fans can take advantage of fun family activities on the West Plaza including face painting, balloon artists, and meeting the Storm Cheerleaders. Immediately following the conclusion of the scrimmage, fans will have the opportunity to meet the players and have a picture taken or get an autograph.

Full Season Ticket Members will receive their STM cards and premium and promenade full Season Ticket Members will be able to pick up their STM Jerseys. Season ticket representatives will also be on hand to help fans interested in season tickets.

The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm celebrates its 25th season in the AFL. The 2012 Season home opener is Friday, March 16 versus South Division rival Georgia Force. 2012 season tickets and four-game packs are currently on sale; those who purchase season tickets in the promenade level receive a free replica Storm jersey per seat commitment and will receive discounts on merchandise and concessions.
