Congressman Joe Courtney and Norwich Mayor Peter Nystrom to Hold Press Conference at Dodd Stadium Monday, February 3rd

NORWICH, CT- Congressman Joe Courtney and Norwich Mayor Peter Nystrom will hold a press conference and rally at Dodd Stadium on Monday February 3, 2020 starting at 3:30 P.M. Congressman Courtney and Mayor Nystrom invite all to attend.

The Congressman has recently joined more than 60 House of Representatives who co-sponsored a Resolution urging Major League Baseball to stop a plan to eliminate 42 Minor League teams. Congressman Courtney is a founding member of the Congressional Save Minor League Baseball Task Force and is working hard to stop the elimination of the teams.

Mayor Nystrom is working with the Mayoral Task Force to Save Minor League Baseball and hopes to send a message to Major League Baseball, "we are not giving up."

The Norwich Sea Unicorns are the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, Connecticut. 2020 season memberships for "The Captains Club", mini plans, and team merchandise are now on sale! The 2020 season at Dodd Stadium kicks off on Sunday, June 21st at 7:05 pm with fireworks after the game. The front office and box office are open daily from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday and can be accessed in person or by calling 860-887-7962.
