Series History:
The Condors and Thunder met 12 times during the 2009-10 regular season, with Bakersfield posting a 6-4-2 record. The Condors have never lost a season series with the Thunder, and hold a 27-14-3 all-time record. This is the first postseason meeting between the two Central Valley rivals. After a best-of-five opening round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs, this and each subsequent round is a best-of-seven.

Both Condors goaltenders are among league leaders, with Timo Pielmeier ranking 2nd (2.01 GAA) and J.P. Levasseur 6th (2.67). They also rank 3rd (.927) and 4th (.915), respectively, in save percentage... LW Kyle Calder was tied for the league lead in the opening round with five goals. Calder has also tied a Condors single season playoff record with two game winners... D Evan Stoflet is tied for the league lead with a +8 rating. His D-partner Eric Regan is tied for 3rd with a +7... C MacGregor Sharp is tied for 2nd among rookies in the playoffs with six points. He currently has a four-game point streak... Two of the four all-time Game 1 Condors victories have come in overtime, while Bakersfield is 2-3 in Game 1's on home ice.
About the Thunder:
Stockton used a strong second half to challenge for the division title this season, and with three games left in the regular season fought from a 15-point deficit in the standings to tie the Condors atop the Pacific Division, but Bakersfield pulled back out in front and Stockton ended up 6th in the conference... The Thunder dismantled Alaska in the opening round of the playoffs, 3-games-to-1, including an 8-5 romp in the final game of the series. They scored 23 goals in the four games... C Oren Eizenman had nine points - all assists - in their opening round... Stockton has reached the National Conference Semifinals for the second straight year, after being swept last season in the second round... Thunder Head Coach Matt Thomas won a Kelly Cup as an assistant coach with the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in 2003.
