Youngsville, LA. The Cane Cutters nabbed the lead late in the game in a 9-3 victory over the Victoria Generals. The game was tied at three with the Cutters batting in the bottom of the seventh when Ryan Carr (Notre Dame) tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
The Cane Cutters earned the victory despite allowing Victoria to score three runs in the fourth inning.
The Cane Cutters evened things up at three in the bottom of the fifth inning. Champ Artigues (Southeastern Louisiana) drove in one when he doubled. Zavier Moore (Southern) tallied the one homerun on the day. The team tallied 11 hits in the game. Moore and Cameron Dobbs (UTA) each had multiple hits. Dobbs and Moore each collected three hits to lead the team.
