Colorado Kings And Michael Ruffin Get Together

Aurora, CO. Durrell Middleton, owner of the Colorado Kings ABA team announced Michael Ruffin, former NBA player, as the new addition to their coaching staff. Born in Denver, and a graduate of Cherry Creek High School, Michael is a "home grown" native. He went on to play at the University of Tulsa where he studied chemical engineering and is the only player in Tulsa history to surpass 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Ruffin was then drafted in the second round of the 1999 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls. He has appeared in 30 playhoff games and averaged 1.7 points and 3.9 rebounds through his career. Michael's resume includes the Philadelphia 76ers, Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards, Milwaukee Bucks and Portland Trail Blazers.

He is an activist, philanthropist and a family man. He was recognized by The Sporting News in 2006 as one of the top "Good Guys" in sports for his charitable endeavors. He has also earned the Bulls' 2000 Charles Lubin Award, honoring his outstanding commitment to community service efforts during his rookie season - the only rookie to ever receive the honor. Along with his wife Misye, was honored as one of Lifetime Television and the Wireless Foundation of Champions for Chicago. They are the proud parents of four children.
