The Terre Haute Rex (15-11)'s four first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home an 8-3 win over the Chillicothe Paints (12-13) on Friday at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad.
The Terre Haute Rex scored in the first on a two-run single by TJ Collett, a sacrifice fly by Michael Klein, and a fielder's choice.
Dalton Board racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Terre Haute Rex. He tripled in the sixth inning.
Matt Weissheier had an impressive outing against the Chillicothe Paints' lineup. Weissheier held the Chillicothe Paints hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
