MACON, GA- The newly formed Macon Professional Baseball Club will host it's 1st annual "Fan Fest" to be held at Historic Luther Williams Field. Scheduled for Saturday, April 8th from 11AM to 1PM, the event will be open to the public and completely free of charge. The flagship franchise of the South Coast League will reveal the results of it's "Name the Team" online contest and also unveil the team's new logo designs at the event.

"We would like to thank the community for their overwhelming involvement in our ‘Macon a Name for Ourselves' contest. We have narrowed the submissions down to a few, catchy names that would befit the newborn franchise. Over the course of the next week, league officials will narrow the choices down to one," adds Macon G.M. Matt Krantz.

Select team merchandise items will be available for the first time, including caps and t-shirts featuring the Macon Club's new logo. Fans will also have their first opportunity to purchase season tickets for the 2007 inaugural season.

To wrap up the event at 1PM, the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome the franchise to the Macon business community. All Chamber of Commerce members are invited to attend the 1st annual Macon Baseball "Fan Fest."

Complimentary food and beverage will be provided by Macon Professional Baseball Club officials. There will also be inflatable games for the kids along with a visit from the Easter Bunny who will be passing out candy to the children in attendance. Residents of the greater-Macon and middle Georgia area are invited to attend.
