Cleveland Set To Host Wilmington Hammerheads during Mascot And OYSAN Night on Friday at 7 PM

The Cleveland City Stars make their return to Krenzler Stadium after a six game road trip that took up a month of the season.

The City Stars will welcome the Wilmington Hammerheads to Cleveland on Friday for a 7 pm match. The City Stars have never lost a regular season contest at Krenzler Stadium where they hold a 10-0-4 record during the past two seasons.

Cleveland enters the June 20th contest 6-2-3, which is good for 21 points and second place in the USL-2 table. The City Stars trail first place Charlotte by just two points. Cleveland recently finished its six game road trip with a 4-1-1 record and are now home for four straight league games.

The Hammerheads sit in ninth place with a 1-5-2 record with five points, including a 0-4 record away from home.

Friday is also Mascot Night at Krenzler Stadium and will feature all of your favorite Cleveland sports mascots with plenty of interaction and special surprises.

CCS Halftime ShowThe cheering members of the Green Army is sure to be a welcome sight to the players after so long on the road. In order to add to the atmosphere, thunderstix will be given away to the first 300 fans in attendance. Friday also marks OYSAN (Ohio Youth Soccer Association North) night at the Stars. Players, coaches & staff from OYSAN will be on hand during the game and will take part in the various ceremonial pre-game activities. Tickets for the Wilmington match are going fast with only very few remaining. Fans wishing to attend games for the duration of the season should purchase tickets in advance as the remaining games are all hosting large events and are nearing sell-outs.
