Cleveland City Stars News Release

The Cleveland City Stars have announced the signings of two new players to the 2008 Pro-Team roster. Joining the club for the upcoming season are Defender John "Tre" Lee and Forward Adam Ruud. The team is excited about the additions and both players will be looked upon to add valuable character along with their contributions on the field.

Lee comes to the City Stars from the California Seahorses of the PDL. He played the 2006 season with Miami FC of the USL First Division where he was a teammate of CCS goal keeper Hunter Gilstrap. Originally from Fontana, CA, Lee played collegiately at UC-Riverside where he was honorable mention All-Big West Conference after the 2004 season.

Ruud comes to Cleveland from the Charlotte Eagles, one of the City Stars competitors in the USL-2. The crafty forward notched four goals and three assists in 18 games last season for the Eagles. Originally from Hanover Park, IL, Ruud played collegiately at Charlotte where he was a two-time NSCAA All-South Region selection. Ruud also earned first team All-Conference USA honors after his junior season and first team All-Atlantic 10 Conference after his senior season.

"We are thrilled to have signed Tre Lee and Adam Ruud," said Cleveland City Stars Executive Director Aaron Tredway. "We feel Tre will definitely strengthen our defense and offers something that can't be coached, speed. In Adam we feel we have signed a proven goal scorer within the USL structure and top class professional. Both

Tre and Adam will be impact players for us and we expect great things from them this coming season."
