City Stars Host Richmond Saturday During University Hospitals And Kids Night

The City Stars return home this Saturday for a 7 pm contest with the Richmond Kickers. Cleveland is 6-2-4 on the season and the Kickers enter the contest 5-4-1.

Saturday is Inner-City and Kids Night at Krenzler Stadium. All of the night's festivities will be geared toward the children in attendance, including a special halftime surprise for all kids in attendance.

June 28th is also University Hospitals night with the City Stars featuring and recognizing all of our friends from UH.

Prior to kickoff, the City Stars will be joined by a special guest as Channel 19 weather man Jon Loufman will take part in the ceremonial first kick off.

The Stars are encouraging fans to bring school supplies to the support the Salvation Army "Tools for School" program in partnership with Charter One. The team and Charter One are collecting school supplies during the month of July that will be distributed by the Cleveland Salvation Army to children in need in greater Cleveland. Special containers will be available to drop off the supplies and the Stars will ensure that the items will reach the kids that need it the most.

A variety of free promotional items are sponsored by University Hospitals and DownTheWay and will be given away to all fans at the gate.

Saturday's match will be broadcast by SportsTime Ohio Saturday night following the Cleveland Indians at 10:30 pm and repeated Thursday July 3rd at 8:30 pm.

Following the contest with the Kickers the City Stars will host a post game party downtown at Alesci's restaurant. Come meet all your favorite players and coaches while enjoying great food and a fun atmosphere.
