City Islanders hope to enjoy long weekend in Bermuda

(Harrisburg, PA, March 30, 2007) - The Harrisburg City Islanders announced today that their match against the Bermuda Hogges originally scheduled for July 20 in Bermuda will instead be played on April 29 at 1:00pm. The Islanders who are already slated to take on the newly formed Bermuda squad on April 27 hope to enjoy a two game - four day excursion with a pair of wins on what they view as their "sister island." The match will also serve as an additional qualifier for U.S. Open Cup competition.
The match was moved due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict at Bermuda's National Stadium which is home to among other entities; the Bermuda National Soccer and Cricket Teams, The City Islanders are grateful to the Bermuda Football Association and the National Stadium operations staff for providing a suitable replacement date.

The City Islanders begin their fourth season of play in the United Soccer Leagues Second Division against the Wilmington Hammerheads on Saturday April 21, 2007 at Skyline Sports Complex on City Island.

The Islanders are looking to rebound from a disappointing 2006 campaign which resulted in a 8-9-3 record. The City Islanders play in the United Soccer Leagues Second Division competing against squads in Baltimore (new), Bermuda (new), Charlotte (NC), Cincinnati, Cleveland (new), New Hampshire, Richmond (VA.), Western Mass, and Wilmington (NC).
