
City Islanders blank Bucknell, 3-0

(Hershey, Pa., March 28, 2007) - Wes Windsor, Adam Clay and Brian Ombiji scored as the Harrisburg City Islanders defeated Bucknell University 3-0 in a preseason match on Wednesday night at Hersheypark Stadium. Returning goalkeeper Sam Bishop played the first half for the City Islanders, who play their next preseason game this Saturday against Lehigh University, also at Hersheypark Stadium (3:00 p.m. kickoff).
Windsor, a trialist from Furman University headed in the game's first goal as a result of a corner kick from Drew Ducker (Vanderbilt).
Clay (City Islanders / Bloomsburg) was also the recipient of a Ducker service from the corner and he was able to head the ball past the Bucknell keeper.
Ombiji (Lindsey Wilson) continued the trend of well placed head balls when he finished the night's scoring by redirected a service from Scott Thompson (St. Francis).
The City Islanders begin their fourth season of play in the United Soccer Leagues Second Division against the Wilmington Hammerheads on Saturday April 21, 2007 at Skyline Sports Complex on City Island.

The Islanders are looking to rebound from a disappointing 2006 campaign which resulted in a 8-9-3 record. The City Islanders play in the United Soccer Leagues Second Division competing against squads in Baltimore (new), Bermuda (new), Charlotte (NC), Cincinnati, Cleveland (new), New Hampshire, Richmond (VA.), Western Mass, and Wilmington (NC).
