(Harrisburg, Pa., May 24, 2005) – Harrisburg City Islanders defender Dustin Bixler and midfielder/forward Sumed Ibrahim have both been named to the USL Second Division Team of the Week for Week 5, the league has announced. Both posted standout performances in Harrisburg's 3-0 win over the Northern Virginia Royals at Skyline Sports Complex on Saturday, May 21.

Bixler, 22, has quickly established himself as a backline stalwart for Harrisburg. The 6-3, 185-pound defender, a graduate of Red Land High School and Lock Haven University, is the only City Islander to have played every minute (540) of the season. Bixler turned in a typically solid effort against the Royals as the City Islanders recorded their third shutout of the year.

Sumed Ibrahim scored Harrisburg's first goal on Saturday, tearing up the middle of the field on the dribble before slotting home his first goal in a City Islanders uniform in the 28th minute. The former Maryland All-American and Chicago Fire draft pick was later awarded an assist, when his 78th-minute shot rang off the crossbar and fell to a waiting Mo Oduor, who pounded it home.

Harrisburg has now placed six different players on the Second Division Team of the Week this season. Previously honored were goalkeeper Bryan Hill (4/26, Player of the Week), midfielder Mo Oduor (4/26), midfielder David Schofield (5/4), and forward Chad Severs (5/10)..
