Two games on the schedule this weekend as the CIFL enters week five. On Friday night, the Wisconsin Wolfpack (1-1) will visit the Fort Wayne FireHawks (1-1) as the winner will move into a second place tie with the Marion Mayhem at 2-1. The Mayhem have the week off, along with the league leading Cincinnati Commandos (4-0). The Silverbacks (0-3) and Cardinals (0-2) look to get out of the winless column Saturday night in Villa Park, Ill.

Fort Wayne earned their first win of the season last week in a 44-28 win over the Miami Valley Silverbacks in which FireHawks QB Kota Colors threw for 200 yards and seven touchdown passes. Colors earned the CIFL Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance. Tramaine Billie lead the Fort Wayne defense with 10.5 tackles, two for a loss and Paul Carter had two interceptions.

Wisconsin lost for the first time this season on the road in Cincinnati, 48-26. In the loss, Dan Roberts made his first start at QB for the Wolfpack, throwing a pair of touchdowns, completing 50 percent of his passes and rushing for another score. Defensively, the Wolfpack were lead by a 10.5 tackle performance by Mark Mashburn.

Chicago is coming off a solid defensive performance in a 19-14 loss against the Marion Mayhem. Jim Cichon dominated the defensive side of the football with 9.5 tackles, one for a loss and a sack, with fellow defender Ricky Emery intercepting Marion QB Josh Davis twice. Jaran Rutledge also recorded a safety for the Cardinals defense.

Miami Valley is coming off their third loss of the season and their 17th straight dating back to May of 2008 when they defeated Fort Wayne in Troy, Ohio. Silverbacks QB Shaun Kirby threw a pair of touchdowns, both to Kyenes Mincy, and rallied the Silverbacks to a 10 point deficit in the fourth quarter before the FireHawks would finally close out the game. Chris Stanford had 10 tackles, one for a loss.
