Chico Outlaws Release 2009 Schedule

CHICO, CA - The Chico Outlaws released its official 2009 schedule Monday. The Outlaws, in its fifth season of operation, will play a total of 88 games beginning May 21st with a road contest against the Tucson Toros, followed by the first of 44 home contests May 25th against the defending Golden Baseball League Champion Orange County Flyers at Nettleton Stadium.
The Outlaws front office is currently working on the team's promotional calendar, which will include a summer full of special events, theme and discount nights, giveaways and unique entertainment. The Golden Baseball League has added three new teams for the 2009 season, the Victoria Seals, Tucson Toros, and the Tijuana Potros. Victoria will be in town June 5th-7th, Tucson will visit Chico June 16th-18th, and Tijuana will make their first trip into Northern California July 10th-12th. With the addition of the Tijuana Potros, the Golden Baseball League has become the first professional baseball league with operations in three different countries. The only Golden Baseball League team from 2008 not returning for 2009 will be the Reno Silver Sox.
