Chicago, IL. The ABA Chicago Throwbacks have announced that they will be playing their games this season at Tim Grover's new 60,000 square foot facility in Chicago. Tim Grover is Michael Jordan's trainer and also trains athletes like NY Yankees star Alex Rodriguez, NBA Stars Michael Finley, Devin Harris, Andre Igoudala and others. The facility has five basketball courts with the main court seating 1,600. It features the new clear shot clocks that will be required by the NBA in 3 years - and the facility features a barber shop, nail salon, auto detail shop, a weight room (larger than a basketball court) as well as a therapeutic court for injured players. Called ATTACK ATHLETICS, it is located at 2641 W. Harrison, Chicago, IL.
The Throwbacks open their inaugural season in Chicago in November and are putting together a top squad that "will complete for the ABA title," according to George Bellevue, team owner. and hopefully, we'll find out last few players at the tryout camp on October 6th.
