Chicago Steel Win Clark Cup Championship

FARGO, N.D. - The Chicago Steel of the United States Hockey League (USHL) won the 2020-21 Clark Cup Championship Saturday night with a 3-1 win over the Fargo Force at Scheels Arena in Fargo, N.D.

The 2021 Clark Cup Championship was Chicago's second of all-time after winning its first in 2017. Chicago entered the Playoffs as the top team after winning the Anderson Cup for the second year in a row.

Chicago forward Adam Fantilli was awarded the Clark Cup Playoffs MVP. The 16-year-old forward finished the Playoffs with nine points (8-1-9) including five points in the Final (4-1-5).

Steel netminder Simon Latkoczy finished the Playoffs with a 7-1-0-0 record, 1.73 goals against average and 0.937 save percentage, both of which were second among league goaltenders in the Playoffs.

Chicago finished the Playoffs with a 7-1-0-0 record with their lone loss coming in Game 1 of the Clark Cup Final. The Steel went on to win Games Two, Three and Four for a 3-1 series win.
