Chicago Stays Dark for 2008-09 Season

ROCHESTER, MI--- The International Hockey League (IHL) announced Monday that Chicago will not be returning as the seventh member club for the 2008-09 IHL season. Craig Drecktrah, the owner of Chicago, had been in negotiations with the Sears Centre, located in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Both parties were unable to come to terms regarding a lease due to an unsatisfactory rent structure and the lack of available weekend dates as a result of three other teams playing in the arena at the same time of year.
