
Charlie Dennis & Kevin Rodriguez Earn Team of the Week Honors

After winning 3-1 against South Georgia, both goal scorers earn a spot on USL League One Team of the Week
FC Tucson midfielder, Charlie Dennis, and forward, Kevin Rodriguez, have been named to the USL League One Team of the Week presented by Cleer Audio for Week 28 of the 2021 regular season.
Kevin Rodriguez bagged a brace and the game winner on Saturday against South Georgia Tormenta FC. Dennis capped a 3-1 victory by scoring a spectacular free kick from outside the box.
A long shot from Noah Franke bounced off the Tormenta keeper, the rebound went right into the path of Rodriguez for an easy finish in the 17 minute.
Rodriguez scored the game winner in the 67 minute after converting a cross from Shak Adams. A clever touch was able to push him past the defender and fire the shot into the goal.
Rodriguez had three shots, one key pass, and completed 18 of 20 passes during the night.
In the 82 minute, Charlie Dennis won a free kick on the right wing just outside the box. Dennis stepped up to take the free kick, sending the ball into the top left corner of the net.
Dennis had a solid performance on Saturday with two shots, two key passes, and completing 23 of 26 passes.
FC Tucson is 10-10-6 and is sixth in USL League One. The club has two games remaining including the last game of the regular season at home.
FC Tucson travels to Madison this Saturday continuing its push for the playoffs against Forward Madison FC. Kickoff is at 5 p.m.
