Philadelphia, PA (March 30) - Marinette Pichon and Kerry Connors each scored twice to help the Philadelphia Charge down the University of Virginia 5-4 Saturday morning at Villanova Stadium. Erin Martin also scored for the Charge, who played their final game at Villanova Stadium prior to the club's season opener on April 13 at Atlanta against the Beat.
Philadelphia improved to 4-1-1 this pre-season, having outscored its opponents 30-9 over that stretch.
The Charge play their final pre-season tilt on Saturday, April 6 against the New York Power at Indian Hills High School in Northern New Jersey.
The Charge will open their home regular-season schedule on Saturday, May 4 against the Boston Breakers at 7 p.m. at Villanova Stadium. The first 2,000 fans 14 and under at the club's home opener will receive a limited edition Lorrie Fair bobblehead doll courtesy of Got Milk.
