
Channel Cats Matt Carmichael is the SEHL Goaltender of the Year

Matt Carmichael of the Huntsville Channel Cats has been selected the 2003-2004 South East Hockey League Goaltender of the Year. He was selected by a vote of the SEHL head coaches; team front office personnel, and media representatives from each of the four league cities.
Carmichael, 26, from Ottawa, Ontario is playing his eighth year professionally and his third in Huntsville; having played for the CHL Channel Cats & Tornado in 1999/00 and 2000/01. Matt was the "iron man" of all SEHL goaltenders, appearing in 45 regular season games for the âCats. He posted a save percentage of 92.2% and led all the SEHL goaltenders in the following categories:

Minutes Played: 2626
Saves: 1414
Shutouts: 3
Shootout Wins: 3
Goals Against Average: 2.74
