Chad Roberts Named PL Player of the Week

Chad Roberts has been named Prospect League Player of the Week (June 27- July 3), presented by Hodgson Mill.
Roberts, a native of Wilmington, Ohio, hit .481 (13-for-27) for the week with three doubles, a triple, two home runs, four RBIs and six runs scored. In 28 plate appearances, Roberts reached base safely in half, slugged .899 and amassed an OPS of 1.389. Currently, Roberts leads the Prospect League in hits (42), is tied for first in total bases (68), ranked second in at bats (115), third in runs scored (26), third in slugging percentage (.591), fourth in batting average (.365), fourth in extra base hits (14), and fifth in on base percentage (.452).
Roberts joins Andrew Czech as the second Paints player to earn the honor this season.
The Paints return home for three games this weekend. They host Butler Thursday and Friday and play at home against Lafayette Saturday. All start times are 7:05 p.m. at VA Memorial Stadium.
