
Casper added to AAPBL lineup

(Casper WY) - Today, longtime Casper, Wyoming businessman, Worth Christie announced the formation of the All-American Professional Basketball League. In addition to the announcement of the league, Christie announced the first AAPBL team, the Wyoming Golden Eagles.
Set to tip-off their inaugural season in November of 2005, the AAPBL will be the highest level of minor league professional basketball in the United States. The league will include a slate of eight to 10 teams and a schedule that will consist of a minimum of 56 regular season games, 28 of which will be played in the Casper Events Center. Set to begin in November 2005 the league will conclude its regular season in March with playoffs to be concluded in early April of 2006.
Fans of the AAPBL will be treated to a high level of professional basketball and exciting promotional events that will be unlike those seen in any other professional sports leagues. The AAPBL will be focused on providing a premier developmental basketball league with many familiar faces from college and professional basketball on each team's player and coaching rosters. Additionally, the league will strive to make sure that when each fan leaves at the end of that night's event they have been thoroughly entertained win or lose.
All AAPBL teams will be operated by the league office for the first two years of the leagues existence with an office and full staff in each of the league's cities. The league is currently discussing local ownership in each of the teams cities. After the first two years of league play local ownership will take over their team's operation.
