Cane Cutters Sweep the Twins to Extend Win Streak to 7

YOUNGSVILLE, La. - In the last game of a four game homestand, the Acadiana Cane Cutters complete the sweep against the Texarkana Twins with a score of 7-2. This was the last home series that the Cane Cutters will play against the Twins this season.

Starting pitcher, Evan Daigle (Northwestern State) was named Powerade Player of the Game after throwing six scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and striking out six batters.

The Cane Cutters struck early with two runs in the second and third innings and three in the fourth.

Texas Collegiate League will be back in full swing on July 6th. The Cane Cutters will play a two game away series against the Brazos Valley Bombers before returning to Fabacher Field on July 8th.

The Cutters will now be off due to the All-Star break. Our next home game will be Sunday, July 8th against the Marshals! It is MLB Apparel Night! Anyone who wears MLB gear gets in for the discounted price of $5. Gates open at 6 PM and first pitch is at 7 PM for all home games.
