The Cane Cutters split the two-game series with the Brazos Valley Bombers after a 5-3 loss on Monday night at Fabacher Field.
The Bombers took a 5-0 lead by the top of the sixth inning, scoring one run in the fourth, three runs in the fifth and a run in the sixth.
Acadiana responded with three runs at the bottom of the sixth, but the team wasn't able to get any more offense going for the remainder of the game.
Alabama's Cobie Vance and LSU-Eunice's Hunter Feduccia led the team in hits. Both posted two on four at bats.
The Cane Cutters return to action tomorrow night as they travel to the Woodlands to take on the Woodland Strykers at 7 p.m. The team returns home on Thursday with a chance at redemption against the Bombers.
