Cane Cutters Drop Series Finale in Round Rock

Round Rock, Texas - The Acadiana Cane Cutters fell 3-0 to the Round Rock Hairy Men in the final game at Dell Diamond. The Cane Cutters were unable to lace a hit across as Round Rock's pitchers combined for a no-hitter.

Chandler Best (Southern Miss) started on the mound for Acadiana, throwing six innings, allowing three runs (earned) on three hits and two walks with six strikeouts. Reed Vincent (Belhaven University) took over with a hitless, scoreless seventh inning, fanning one. Blake Marshall (UL-Lafayette) closed out the night in the eighth without a hit, striking out one and walking two.

Acadiana reached base through walks five times on the night, but all runners were stranded.

The Cane Cutters return to Fabacher to host a three-game set against Brazos Valley. Friday, July 17 will be Front Line Hero's Night, presented by Danny Landry for District Attorney.
