Lafayette, La. - The Acadiana Cane Cutters came up short to the Flying Chanclas allowing the Chanclas to tie the series. With nearly perfect defense from San Antonio, Acadiana struggled to bat the runs in with the final score being 7-1. The Cane Cutters look to bounce back tomorrow night against the Flying Chanclas at 7pm at Fabacher Field.
Acadiana struggled on the mound this evening. Allowing 11 hits through all 9 innings. Davis Pratt went 6.0 innings with 5 strikeouts and Jay Ward 2.0 innings pitched and had 3 strikeouts. Reed Vincent 1.0 inning pitched and 2 strikeouts. The Acadiana Cane Cutters will look to turn the ship on the mound tomorrow night in the homestand against the Flying Chanclas.
Ethan Lege was able to record his second RBI of the season with a sac fly tonight. Carson Jones was able to record his first triple of the season. Ethan Lege, Will Veilion, Peyton Puckett, and Conor Higgs were each able to get a stolen base in tonight's game.
The Cane Cutters look to bounce back at home this week with games against the Flying Chanclas on Thursday and then host the Brazos Valley Bombers in a two game weekend series.
The Acadiana Cane Cutters will play again on Thursday, June 10th, against the San Antonio Flying Chanclas at Fabacher Field. All home games will begin at 7:00 pm and will be broadcast live on TCL TV.
