Canadian Premier League Supports the Royal Canadian Legions Coast to Coast

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Premier League is pleased to announce its support for and partnership with The Royal Canadian Legion at four of its upcoming November matches. Players with all eight CPL teams will wear match-day jerseys featuring the Poppy to thank Canada's veterans for preserving the freedoms we enjoy today.
The league's tribute to the men and women in uniform who gave their lives for our country also will provide fans with the opportunity to pay their respects to all who have served and continue to serve on behalf of all Canadians. The CPL Remembrance matches are as follows:

Following the matches, all jerseys will be individually signed by the players and become available for auction starting on November 11. All proceeds from each auction will be donated to local branch Poppy Trust Fund to provide financial assistance and support to Veterans, including Canadian Armed Forces and RCMP, and their families who are in need.

As a coast-to-coast League, we felt it was the perfect alignment to show our support for the Legion and salute the millions of Canadians from coast to coast who proudly wear their poppies each November."
The CPL recognizes that for the Legion and its branches, Remembrance is a yearlong commitment to provide several programs, services, and resources for veterans. The support provided by individuals and organizations is key to delivering them.
