
Canadian Premier League 2021 Final Update

Toronto, ON - With the completion of the Canadian Premier League 2021 season and all four playoff spots designated for the CPL 2021 Final. The CPL released today the match details for the 2021 Final.
The top two clubs will move on to the one-match 2021 Final following the playoff matches taking place this weekend, November 20 Cavalry FC (2) vs Pacific FC (3) and November 21 Forge FC (1) vs York United FC (4).
The 2021 CPL Final match-up will be announced immediately following the playoff match on November 21 and preliminary match details are as follows based on the highest seeded team remaining as host/home:

Cavalry FC, Pacific FC Saturday, November 27
Forge FC Sunday November 28*
* If the Hamilton Tiger Cats are confirmed to host the CFL Eastern Semi-Final on Nov 28 and Forge FC advance to the CPL Final, the Final will be played at Tim Hortons Field on December 5.
2021 Playoff and Final Format
If a game ends in a tie the teams will play two 15-minute periods of extra time to decide the winner. If the score is still tied after extra time, the teams will begin a penalty shoot-out to determine the winner of the game.
Extra Time Two fifteen-minute periods of extra time played in their entirety
Penalty Kicks If there is still no winner after extra time, a penalty kick shootout will be used to determine a winner
Extra Substitution Rule A sixth substitution to be used exclusively during extra time
