
Canada\'s Bell ExpressVu to offer out-of-market games to subscribers

National Lacrosse League fans in Canada will now have the opportunity to watch additional out-of-market games on Bell ExpressVu, Canada's leading direct-to-home satellite television company. Starting on March 18th, Bell ExpressVu will offer five games from the remaining 2005 regular season schedule on its pay-per-view channels to regions of Canada that are outside of the regional broadcast territories for select games.
The package begins on March 18th with a pair of games. The Toronto Rock host the Arizona Sting, which airs live on Rogers Sportsnet East and Ontario at 7pm Eastern. Fans in the West and Pacific regions, who previously would not have had access to this regional broadcast, can now purchase the broadcast live at 5pm Mountain/4pm Pacific time on Bell ExpressVu channel 352 for $9.99.

Later that evening, the Calgary Roughnecks host the San Jose Stealth at 7:30pm Mountain, with a live broadcast on Rogers Sportsnet West. Fans in Canada's East, Ontario and Pacific regions can also watch the game live at 9:30pm Eastern/6:30pm Pacific on Bell ExpressVu channel 351 for $9.99.

All five broadcasts involve at least one of the league's two Canadian clubs, Calgary and Toronto. The schedule includes an April 9th re-match of the 2004 Champion's Cup Final as Calgary hosts Buffalo, and the April 17th regular season finale as Calgary hosts Toronto. "We're really pleased to be able to take these regional broadcasts and make them available to all of Canada through our partnership with Bell ExpressVu", said NLL Commissioner Jim Jennings. "There are some great matchups here that clearly have a national level of interest. We're always looking to bring as many games as possible to as many homes as we possibly can through television. Our new partnership with Bell ExpressVu is another step forward towards this goal."
