Camo & Carepackages: 'North Stars Never Forget' Set for this Weekend

TRAVERSE CITY - In observance of Veterans Day, the Traverse City North Stars will honor past and present members of the U.S. military this weekend with the three-game 'North Stars Never Forget' series against the St. Louis Blues at Centre ICE Arena.

The series will feature prizes and giveaways - including a Great Wolf Lodge Family Suite with waterpark passes at each home game - as well as commemorative camouflage jerseys that will be up for auction, and the opportunity to send a little piece of home to servicemen and women overseas.

Past and present U.S. military will receive half-off tickets, proceeds from the jersey auction befit the Grand Traverse Area Veterans Park and Assistance Fund, and the Operation American Soldier initiative will be on hand to collect items to be packaged for delivery to men and women serving abroad. Items such as non- perishables, toiletries, powdered drink mixes, playing cards and games, and other miscellaneous sundries will be accepted.
