Metropolitan Riveters News Release
Metropolitan Riveters rookie Cailey Hutchison, a native of Hicksville, N.Y., will coach a youth hockey clinic in Dix Hills on Long Island on Saturday, July 27 as part of the Jr. NWHL Summer Clinic Series.
Hutchison, an experienced coach who was a standout forward at the University of Maine, will lead participants in skills and drills to promote development and fun. The 90-minute clinic is open to players ages 6-14 and will begin at 11:10 am at Dix Hills Ice Arena.
"After being away from home for eight years between prep school and college, it's great to bring all the knowledge and experience I've gained over these years and share that with all the youth hockey players on Long Island," said Hutchison. "Having two NWHL teams close by is very special and I'm excited to help advance and promote the game I love on the Island."
The clinic is part of the Jr. NWHL Summer Clinic Series, which began with a clinic in North Carolina in June coached by Colleen Murphy of the Metropolitan Riveters, and includes events in collaboration with the Tampa Bay Lightning in August. More will be announced this month.
