Laredo Broncos News Release

Laredo, Texas- The Laredo Broncos of the United League are pleased to announce the signing of former United High School standout baseball player and former Tecolote of Nuevo Laredo, Andres Santos to their 2009 Roster. Santos played 6 seasons with the Tecos of Nuevo Laredo and compiled some great numbers while playing Left Field for them. Santos is slated to be the everyday leftfielder for the Broncos in 2009.

General Manager of the Laredo Broncos, Jose Melendez, mentioned that "Andres Santos has been the holy grail for the Laredo Broncos since our inception in 06. We have been trying to sign him since our first season but he has always had better offers in the Mexican league. I am very happy he has come to terms with us and I am looking forward seeing him play for us this season. This is a great signing as we are always looking for local talent that can compete at this level. Santos fits that bill and beyond."

The Laredo Broncos begin their fourth season at Veterans Field with there home opener on June 15th. Season Tickets and Sponsorship packages are available at the Laredo Broncos front offices at Veterans Field or by calling 956-723-2273 or visiting our website at www.laredobroncos.com.
