
Brian Greene WBA Rookie All-Star Game MVP

Marietta, GA - The World Basketball Association held its annual WBA free agent camp this past weekend at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Over 200 players attended the two day event as free agents and rookies competed prior to the 2007 World Basketball Assocation Rookie and Free Agent Draft. The MVP of the weekends events was Brian Greene (6'6''-G/F, college: Florida A&M). Greene may be best known for his 22 point 13 rebound performance against Deleware State where his buzzer beating lob catch and dunk helped propel Florida A&M to the 2006 MEAC Championship and earned Greene and FAMU an automatic bid and entry into the NCAA National Tournament. Greene won the 2007 WBA Rookie Camp Most Valuable Player Award with a 24 point, 12 rebound, and 3 block performance that propelled the WBA Rookie team to an all-star game win. Later in the day, Greene was selected in the first round of the 2007 WBA Rookie Draft by the Texas Tycoons.
