Brad Hester named ABA Vice President of Team Operations
June 3, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that Brad Hester has been named Vice President of Team Operations for the professional basketball league. According to Joe Newman, ABA CEO, "With the huge expansion for next season and the league doubling in size, we felt that we needed a person who could work closely with the teams to help make sure that every element of operating a team to its maximum potential was in place. In Brad we have a person with a tremendous background in management, human resources, operations - and a great love of sports and the ABA. His people skills and attention to detail are exceptional and are just what we need to help the teams with their operations."
Hester added, "I am really looking forward to working with the teams and the ABA. As a manager of 150+ employees with Lowes, I was able to establish a teamwork environment and was able to refine skill sets in communications, financial analysis, mentoring and a "hands-on" approach to business. There are so many facets to operating a professional sports team - community and public relations, game day operations, travel, radio/TV, merchandising, scheduling, staffing and internships, tryout camps to name a few. I'll do whatever I can to assist in anyway I can to help things run smoothly for our teams. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone at the ABA League Meeting in Chicago."
