April 11, 2003 - Independent Women's Football League (IWFL)
Boise Xtreme News Release

The Boise Xtreme fell to the former league Champion Tacoma Majestics 26-6. Despite committing only one turnover, the Xtreme amassed 160 yards of offense against a very stingy Majestic defense. The Majestics have a lifetime record of 9-0.

Quarterback Audra Urie was 13 of 30 passing for 108 yards, with one interception (that was returned for the Majestics' first score) and one touchdown (a 25 yarder to Wide Receiver Gail Adams. Running Back Johnnie Griffin had 43 total yards on offense, catching 4 passes for 26 yards and running the ball 9 times. Running Back Janet Murakami shared the day's rushing title gaining 17 yards on only 3 carries.

The defense was led by Defensive Tackle Mel Carlson and Linebacker Dre Reeves who both had 3 tackles and 1 assist. Defensive End Casey Fisher had a sack, and Linebacker Amy Welsh recovered a precious fumble (Tacoma doesn't turn the ball over much).

On special teams, Johnnie Griffin had a 45 yard kickoff return, and 3 punt returns for 23 yards. Punter Meghan Watters boomed a 48 yard punt.

The Xtreme face the Eugene Edge April 12th at Comstock Field. Gametime is 5 PM. Both teams are winless, and something has to give!
